Banette, Sableye, and More Hoenn Pokemon are Coming Your Way in Pokemon GO!

As a way to celebrate Halloween, Niantic announced on Thursday that Hoenn region Ghost-type Pokemon will be released during Pokemon GO’s Halloween event. This is also the first game event when the third generation Pokemon are introduced. The event will begin on Friday 3pm EDT until November 2 at 4:00pm EDT.

The video below features the third-generation Pokemon namely Duskull, Dusclops, Sableye, Shuppet, and Banette. It was also revealed by Niantic that those Pokemon that appear in the original Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Ruby Gameboy Advance games will also debut in December.

In relation to the Halloween event, a special and limited edition version of Pikachu wearing a witch’s hat will also be available to capture. Super Incubators and Raid Passes will also be up for grabs. The avatar shop will also have Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat at a limited time as well.

Pokemon GO is a popular smartphone application developed by Niantic and The Pokemon Company. Players can capture Pokemon in real time, go into gym battles, and participate in special game events. It is one of the mostly downloaded smartphone game in both the Apple Store and Google Play store.
