From the minds of rock band Kūsō, a campaign is launched for the creation of an anime short entitled, “Naniiiro no Nani" a.k.a. “What of What Color.” The band announced this news on Wednesday and already have set plans and details for the campaign and anime short respectively.

Set to launch on Friday the muevo campaign will seek to raise 6 million yen (about US$53,000) until December 4. According to the campaign’s page the short is meant to be a reflection of the band’s message to others. Already preparations for production have been made by the project’s staff.

For those that will join the campaign they have the opportunity to gain a number of awards. These include  a message movie from Miura, message cards from all the band members, song data, towels, T-shirts, merchandise designed by the members, and personal portraits by the band members.

Other than the stated muevo backer rewards there are also, experiences with the band members such as watching a concert DVD with guitarist Naoya Sasaki, attending talks with Miura, receiving music lessons from members, and playing baseball with bassist Noriyuki Okada. The highest tier reward to receive for 50 million yen (US$443,000) is listed as the opportunity to go to outer space with Okada.

The story for the anime short is a scenario provided by the band’s vocalist and guitarist Ryūichi Miura and tells of a painter named Kanata whose work is not selling well and a woman named Haruka who loves paintings. With music provided by the band themselves, the story tells of how the two meet in a small art gallery.

Starting off with an independent debut in 2011 followed after a major debut in 2014, Kūso has a total of three volumes released. Titled, “Deforme no Aojashin” a.k.a “Deformed Blueprint” the album was released on April 5. More than being a regular band, they are also recognized for having done different themes. These include the ending theme for the “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V” series titled, “Vision” and the song “Nijūrasen Kōzō” for the live-action film of “The Little Match Girl” a.k.a. Match Shōjo” manga.
