From the full trailer of the upcoming feature film “Eiga Kirakira PreCure a la Mode: Paritto! Omoide no Mille-feuille” a.k.a. “Kirakira PreCure a la Mode The Movie: Paris and The Memorable Mille-feuille” posted in July, there wasn’t just a teaser of the Mofurun fairy, but also a confirmation of special appearances.
Making their special appearance are the three main PreCure girls from the previous 13th TV series Maho Girls PreCure: Cure Miracle, Cure Magical, and Cure Felice. This will be the first time that the 14-year-old franchise will be holding a guest appearance in a featured film of the current series outside of the “All Stars” films that are released every spring.
The upcoming feature film based on the ongoing 14th TV series “Kirakira PreCure a la Mode” is set to be released on OCtober 28, 2017 in Japan and along with it is a 3DCG short film featuring the fairy characters from the recent series “Petit Dream Stars! Let’s la Cooking? Showtime!”
Working as the director for the film is Yutaka Tsuchida and with him as the screenplay writer is Isao Murayama, a previous series composer for the “Maho Girls Precure!” series. Another staff member who also worked on the “Maho Girls Precure!” series as his current role of character designer and chief animation director. Along with him as the animation director of the film is Kazuhiro Ohta, the animation director of the “Happiness Charge Precure! Movie” work.
The story sets the characters in the city of Paris where they are visiting in order to join a popular sweets contest. While there however, drama arises as Ciel seems to have trouble in not only making sweets but transforming as well. While she faces her troubles the rest of the team encounter her former master from her training days in Paris, Jean-Pierre Zylberstein. As the group deals with both their troubles and the competition however, a monster suddenly appears and begins turning the city into sweets.
When the announcement of the special appearances was made it was also announced that the upcoming 37th episode of the 14th series would be connected with the film as a continuation. In this episode of “Kirakira PreCure” to air on October 22, the story will be taking focus onto Ciel’s past training. It will also be having Jean-Pierre Zylberstein, voiced by 32-year-old kabuki actor Onoe Matsuya II, taking part of the story and revealing Ciel’s past to the rest of the members as he tries to bring her back to Paris.
