“Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life” tells of the daily life of Kanna Kamui with her friend Riko Saikawa. The spin off was first released in December 20126 and is under the publication of Monthly Action magazine. It was written and illustrated by Mitsuhiro Kimura, and is as stated, a spin off of “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” a.k.a. “Kobayashi-san Chi no Meidoragon.”
A comedy fantasy manga series first released in May 2013, “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” was written and illustrated by Coolkyoushinja. Under the publication of Futabasha’s Monthly Action magazine, the series currently has a total of six volumes and is still ongoing. It was in January 2017 that the series gained an anime adaptation produced by studio Kyoto Animation and ran for a total of 13 episodes plus an OVA before ending on April 6, 2017.
The story of the main series tells of one Kobayashi, an office worker who was in the middle of getting ready for work when she comes across a large dragon who suddenly transforms into a human with a maid outfit out her front door. The dragon introduces herself as Tohru and informs Kobayashi that due to her helping remove a holy sword from Tohru’s back during a drunken excursion she has earned her gratitude. In return of this gratitude and as Tohru had no place to stay, Kobayashi offers Tohru a place to stay and to become her maid. Tohru agrees and thus begins the comedic daily life of a office worker and her maid dragon.
