Just released in App and Google Play store is a new type of rhythm game with a twist to the idol theme. The name of the game is “Idol DTI” and here an idol is not judged by how they look, dance or sing, but on how well can idol can strip.
First announced in December 2016 by Lala magazine as a joint anniversary celebration project with Pony Canyon, the game was initially meant to be released in spring but ended up being postponed. Now after a year long production, the game is up and free of charge for download. However, seeing as there is nudity to be found within the game, an age restriction is to be expected. Other than the release of the app there was also a renewal for the official website.
As stated, the main theme of the game has idols being judged on their ability to strip. With the gameplay, for every time the player correctly follows the rhythm, the more the idol will strip. The player can further progress in the game by training their idol through playing new songs and revealing more of the story.
On the note of the story, it involves six cast/characters. There is Taku Yashiro, the voice actor behind Kakeru Jūōin in the “King of Prism: PRIDE the HERO” film as the voice of Akari Hinase. Tasuku Hatanaka, who voiced Hisashi Mori in “Cheer Boys!!” will be voicing Mikoto Kugane and Kazuki Narumi, who used to play as an extra, is playing as Kaito Aizaki.
Then there is Daiki Hamano, the voice actor of Hirokuni Kasuga in “All Out!” as Shion Fukumura and Natsuki Hanae, who played the role of Yuuta Ashuu in “B-PROJECT”, voicing Kōki Sakurashiranami. Lastly is Hisuimaru Hōshō who will be voiced by Takehito Koyasu, who just recently played the role of Katsumi Kanzaki in “18if.”
The music in the game was composed by Deco*27 and Saeki YouthK and there will be 6 live songs to be part of the game. On a different note, there are already tentative plans for an anime and a set release date for the second volume of the franchise being on November 12.
