The upcoming light novel adaptation of “Saredo Tsumibito wa Ryuu to Odoru – Dances with the Dragons” releases not one but two updates for itself this week. The two updates involve first, a report on the series release, and second, new characters.

Originally, the series was supposed was meant to be released on October 5, 2017 on TBS. However as of today, the official website and Twitter of the fantasy series created by Asai Labo has announced that due to “production reasons” the premiere of the series has now moved to April 2018 but no further details have been released.

In a previous report, seven new cast members were revealed with sketches of their characters. When the main cast was revealed in July, they included, Nobunaga Shimazaki as the voice of Gaius Levina Sorel and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Gigina Jardi Doruk Meleios Ashley-Bufh.

The first of the seven characters to be revealed is Jivunya Lorezzo, to be voiced by Yoko Hikasa. Noted as fairly dangerous girl when cross but also one who worries over Gayus’s dangerous activities, she is described to have platinum hair, fair skin and pointed ears.

Next is a woman adept at a very complex, rare type of spell named Nidvolk. She will be voiced by Yuuko Kaida and is described to be tangled with a city of murder cases in the city of Eridana.

Then there is Mordin Orjes Mgyunei, a Cardinal of the church with multiple titles. To be voiced by Takaya Hashi, he is described to be a man of high ideals with a love for his nation and its people. However, though a man of the church he may be, his talents lie in the insight of political and military actions.

Voicing Mordin’s right hand and the twelfth of the Twelve Winged Generals, Curaso Opt Koga, is Yoshino Nanjo. Though Curaso is not her real name due to her foreigner status and pronunciation reasons, she is a refined and well-stationed woman. Followed after them is the ninth of the Twelve Winged Generals, Jesper Livy Raki, whose voice actor will be Takanori Hoshino. Noted to be a man who has sworn his allegiance to Mordin, he is described to be an honest man with a soft spot for his brother and a the title of a master swordsman.

Taking on the role Berdrit Livy Raki is Sora Tokui. He is the tenth of the Twelve Winged Generals and Jesper’s younger brother. While childish in temperament and inadvertently kind at times, he is a talented magician.
