‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ Cast Reunite in a Smartphone Game!

Have you guys missed Yu Yu Hakusho? You’re in for a treat as the cast of characters of this well-loved series return in an upcoming smartphone game Yu Yu Hakusho 100% Maji Battle (100% Serious Battle). This has been confirmed by game developer KLab Games on Thursday during Tokyo Game Show.

The game reunites not only the characters but also some of its original voice actors in the anime like Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei, Megumi Ogata as Kurama, and Shigeru Chiba as Kuwabara, and Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke.

Based on the informed revealed by KLab so far, the smartphone game will feature the super-deformed versions of the characters as well as the option for players to create their own “dream team” for 5-vs-5 battles. The game will be available for both Android and iOS and more game information will be unveiled in December.

The Yu Yu Hakusho anime is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Based on the manga series of the same name by Yoshihiro Togashi, the manga has released a total of 19 volumes and other adaptations like two anime film and two OVAs (Original Video Animation). The anime adaptation originally aired in Japan from 1992 to 1995 and was later being aired to other parts of the world.
