Players will now have a chance to play as more characters for the upcoming Playstation 4 game, “Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time” according to Bandai Namco. Included with the revelation of new playable characters are new areas for players to explore.
Set to be released in Japan on November 30, 2017, “Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time” is to be an action role-playing video game(RPG). A product of A+ Games and a publication of Bandai Namco, the upcoming game has also been confirmed for a 2018 release in the West for the PS4 and PC.
The new characters revealed for the game include Diana Cavendish and her cronies Hannah England and Barbara Parker, characters noted to be. Along with them are characters Wangari, Joanna, and Kimberly. Now with the newly revealed characters and other characters within the game, players will be able to venture to the first to fourth floors of the Luna Nova Magical Academy school building and its grounds, Diana’s room, Akko and friends’ room, the New Moon Tower, and more.
The game will be implementing a side-scrolling type of gameplay and will have the player and begin as protagonist Akko alongside her friends and exploring the magical academy.
“Little Witch Academia” is an anime franchise created by Yoh Yoshinari and produced by Trigger. Beginning in March 2013 with a short film the franchise has produced two short films, two manga works and an anime series.
The story of the franchise tells of a young girl named Atsuko “Akko” Kagari and her journey towards being a witch. Inspired by another witch named Shiny Chariot, she enrolls at the prestigious school of Luna Nova Magical Academy where young girls of all types enter to learn and train to become witches. This poses a problem for Akko as not only did she grow up in a non-magical problem and but the idol that she oh so admires has left a not so positive mark for the school.
On another note, it was previously revealed that a limited edition of the game would be released in Japan and with it, special items. These include additional material, including an audio drama and an artbook.
