Fans now have a chance to express their excitement for the upcoming, “The Ancient Magus Bride” broadcast with a call for support fanart by MAGCOMI. In addition to this are other events marking the upcoming anime series.
The call for fan art by the Mag Garden’s online comic site, MAGCOMI will be running until October 31. Those who will be taking part of the fanart submission will also be taking part of a lottery where signed items by creator Kore Yamazaki are up for grabs. Also included with the signed prizes are comments on the art post from the creator herself.
There is also an alternative option for those who might not want to join in submitting fanart to the site. Accepting entries until September 30 is an online character voting poll also available on MAGCOMI. Those who join the poll will have a lottery chance at winning a signed poster featuring main characters Chise and Elias.
For the manga.novel side of the franchise, there will both a regular and special version of volume eight of the series to be released on September 8. Featured in the special version release is a poster of the anime. The volume will be sold at Mag Garden online stores and other supporting stores where buyers can also get more information on the fanart submission.
Another mark for the upcoming anime broadcast is a countdown plan to be posted and illustrated by Mag Garden illustrators.
“The Ancient Magus’ Bride” otherwise known as “Mahō Tsukai no Yome” is a fantasy manga series released in November 2013 and published by Mag Garden in its Monthly Comic Garden magazine in Japan. Created and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki, the series as stated, currently has eight volumes and will be releasing an anime adaptation in October.
Prior to the anime adaptation however, there was a three-part prequel produced by Wit Studio and released in August 2016 in theaters.
The story of the series tells of a young woman named Chise who has suffered much in her life. Ending up in a slave auction she finds herself bought by the mysterious wizard Elias. But rather than being a slave she is taken in as not only his apprentice but apparently as his fiancee. Thus this marks the beginning of her journey into a new world and life.
