JRPG Re:Legend had just recently reached its PS4 and Xbox One stretch goals of its Kickstarter campaign but in the time that passed since that announcement and just 24 hours before the end of the campaign, the co-op monster raising and farming game was able to attain all of its stretch goals.
From having reached its sixth and seventh stretch gal with a $250,000 or so donation, the campaign was able to reach a full $500,000 or more and attain its “End Game” stretch goal.
To mark this achievement, it has been decided that even more features will be added to the final product. There will a random final dungeon and end game boss to look forward to along with a final set of equipment and “extended end game.”
Prior to the added features, the stretch goals ranged from a “Hidden Legendary Magnus” to “New Bachelors and Bachelorettes” since the campaign had begun on July 26 with a stretch goal of $100, 000 for a “Live Orchestra Recording.”
It was on July 16, 2016 that news of the kickstarter campaign was first released as games showcase at the Square Enix Collective. Described as a combination between the farming/fantasy/supernatural games “Monster Rancher” and “Rune Factory”, the JRPG takes the player into a world of farming and taming monsters.
In the game the player is washed ashore onto Vokka Island, an island where you learn to make a life for themselves as a farmer and get to know the villagers. But also inhabiting the island are monster-like creatures called Magnus. By taming and training these creatures, the players will find that many possibilities will be open to them in having Magnus friends such as the adorable Momochi and Draconewt.
There are many established features to be found with the game and not just for a single player. During the month of April, the Square Enix Collective revealed more details on the multiplayer feature of the game and how players will be able to host a game and invite players to join in the adventure of farming, taming, exploration, quest taking and more.
