The first ever rugby anime “All Out!” is receiving a collaboration with the 2019 Rugby World Cup to be held in Japan. Set for September 20 to November 2, this will be the first time that the Rugby Cup will be held in Asia.

“All Out!” is as a stated, a rugby anime that first started off as a manga series written by Shiori Amase and serialized by Kodansha’s magazine Monthly Morning Two in 2013. Currently there are eight tankōbon volumes and most recently the anime adaptation which began in October 2016 ended with 26 episodes on MArch 31 , 2017.

The story of the series tells of Kenji Gion who just entered into Kanagawa High School. Though small in height he is large in temper and guts as he ends nearly getting into fight with a group of delinquents only to be inadvertently saved by fellow first years student Sumiaki Iwashimizu.

A tall giant of a blonde with a shy demeanor; he along with Gion are brought into the world of rugby, or in Iwashimizu’s case, back into. Gion enchanted by the concept of tackling in rugby aims to make it big with the sport, but with little to no knowledge on it, this won’t be an easy task.

The Rugby World Cup is a men’s rugby union tournament held every four years and have the top international teams going head to head. The 2019 Rugby World Cup will be the ninth cup of the tournament and it will also be the first time that it will be held outside the heartland of the sport.

In commemoration of the collaboration there will be a special event to be held on August 20 at Yomirui Hall, Tokyo. With a title translated as “ALL OUT !! Special Event – Shinkaku / Midori Midsummer ’s Coupling Camp”, there will be a limited edition poster revealing the 2019 Rugby World Cup 2019 available.

Along with the special event,  fans will have a chance to join the “Rugby World Cup 2019 Japan Official Supporters’ Club” as well. Ay details on the registration or other details on the anime can be found on the official website of the Rugby World Cup 2019 and “All Out!” series respectively.
