A light novel series by the name of “Obsessions of an Otome Gamer” a.k.a “Ongaku de Otome wa Sukuenai” has as of Friday, gained a license under the North American publisher Cross Infinite World, known to have released the series “Little Hero” and “Yusen Ruten: An Era of Red.”
Other than this light novel series, the publishing group will also be possibly releasing “I Became The Secretary of A Hero” this year.
Written online by Natsu on the “Shōsetsu-ka ni Narou platform” in 2014 and illustrated by Shoyu, the series will be an electronic book with the first volume of the series set to be released in the early 2018. In the previous years however, during the years of 2015-2016, the novel series an alternate ending but no related detail has been confirmed on it yet.
The story of this novel series tells of high school student Mashiro, who, upon being rejected by her crush, finds her solace in a seemingly unbeatable music-themed otome game. As she finds herself being more and more obsessed with the game and aiming for the romantic ending with the handsome 2D character that sooth her broken heart, Mahiro ends up breezing through high school with the game as her world and is now about to enter into college.
However, while on her way home from college exams, trouble strikes as in her distraction with a billboard for the game’s remake she ends up falling into a manhole! However this is not the end for her as she awakens to realize the not only did she end up being reborn into a world bearing similarities to the game she is obsessed with but now she is a character.
Now she need as a seven-year-old she finds herself in a predicament where there is no save or reset button and she could end up in any route, even a bad one. But this not deter her as she aims to walk a path of a pianist and strive for the best in this new world. The only problem is, as a main girl, no matter where she turns she can’t seem to escape events which involve her and troublesome but handsome male characters.
