While she drems away of magic and remembers a special book which she was given as a child by a mysterious man in a mask, a magician suddenly makes a visit to her small town and everything changes.

Coming from an impoverished family suffering financially due to debts, he sets for the palace to gain a job. Upon gaining the position of an apprentice he soon meets the female emperor and slowly but surely a unique relationship forms between the two.
