Heading to Tokyo in August? Be Sure to Catch the ‘your name.’ Café Bus!

Makoto Shinkai’s your name. is now considered by many anime fans and movie critics alike as an outstanding animation masterpiece. If you’re heading to Japan in August or September, be sure not to miss the your name. Café Bus!

This is a joint collaboration with the Anime Tourism Association, The Willer busy company, and THE GUEST café & diner and is entirely inspired by the box office hit anime film! If you still can’t get enough of your name., then you must definitely catch this bus when it makes its way to Tokyo from August 3 to September 29.

Two restaurant buses will be decorated with official art from the film. You are sure to have a great time because each bus has an open-air second floor which allows you to enjoy the view of Tokyo. The bus will take you to the locations that were featured in the film. On thebus’ first floor, you will be able to enjoy the delicious meals that were also featured in the movie. This is also the same café menu that was served at a your name. café that ran from January to February in Tokyo. As a remembrance of your visit, you will be able to receive one of the eight special edition coasters.

This isn’t the first time that Japan had did something like this for tourists and to fans of the movie. Last year, the H.I.S. travel agency in Japan offered a walking tour of the movie’s key locations last November 19. The key locations that were featured in the film are now considered by both locals and fans as popular anime pilgrimage locations.

If you’re a super fan of the movie, be sure to not miss this. The official website of this campaign is now accepting reservations. The bus ride (which is around 90 minutes of travel) will cost you 52USD (5,800 yen). So what are you waiting for? Do not miss this one of a kind anime and Japan travel experience.
