4DX Theater Screenings Announced for ‘Yuri!!! on Ice’ Anime !

Japan is still obsessed with the phenomenon that is Yuri!!! on Ice. To give its fans more hype, it was announced on Sunday via the @yurionice_PR Twitter account that 4DX theater screenings of the 12-episode television anime will premiere starting on September 23 in theaters all over Japan.

Fans will be able to enjoy a different kind of Yuri!!! on Ice anime experience as they will feel the coldness of the ice rink as 4DX screenings enhances the audience experience with water, moving chairs, smoke, and scents to name a few. The tweet containing the official announcement has garnered more than 22,900 retweets and 27,800 likes.

Yuri!!! on Ice is considered as one of the most successful anime franchises that formed numerous fan communities around the world. In the first half of 2017, its related media like Blu-ray, DVD, and CDs have topped sales. It was announced in April that an anime film (which is a recompilation of the whole anime series) is confirmed for production.

With these announcements and immense, Yuri!!! on Ice will still continue to be one of the most popular anime franchise in this generation. If you’re heading to Japan in September, this 4DX screenings should not be missed!
