Mega Man is considered by a vast majority of gamers as one of the most popular video game franchises ever. The most popular games under it are those under the Nintendo Entertainment System. Although there haven’t been any Mega Man games being released lately, it’s nice to be able to just go back and play them again.

If you miss the thrill of nostalgia of the Mega Man NES games, a fan developer named WreckingPrograms will release a fan-made Mega Man stage creator. The concept of the program is similar to the Super Mario Maker for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U consoles. It is called Mega Maker and downloads for this program will be made available on Saturday, July 15. You can check out the official trailer of the fan-program below:

Mega Maker allows you to create your own stage using the 129 tile sets, 46 enemies, 12 bosses, 29 level objects, 24 special weapons, 63 music tracks, and 40 backgrounds. The program will have tutorials in making your stages and what makes this even cooler is that you get to share your creation to other users. A rating system is also included to the program so you would know how to improve your stage and how you’ll be able to make it even more epic. If you go to the Mega Maker website, you will also be able to interact with other users in its forum anticipating for the program’s release.

Mega Man is considered as one of CAPCOM’s successful franchises with a total of ten titles under it. Aside from the classic Mega Man series, the series shifted into different storylines like the Mega Man Zero series, Mega Man X, Mega Man Legends, and Mega Man ZX.

Its director Keiji Inafune left CAPCOM and announced of the development of Mighty No. 9 which follows of the concept of Mega Man. It was officially released in 2016 and left a lot of fans disappointed due to delays and some controversies behind its production.

We can’t wait for the release of this unique and creative program. If you have missed Mega Man, then it’s time to relive the game and create your own world!
