Collaborations are everywhere in the anime industry whether the series by old or new and “Aho Girl” is no different. Stemmed from the main character’s, Yoshiko Hanabatake, love for bananas and set for July 15, the comedy series will be having a collaboration with the botanical garden known as, “Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Garden” a.k.a. “Atagawa Banana Wani En.” Followed after this on August 8, there will be a sales event held where fans may have a chance of getting original items.

In commemoration of the collaboration with the botanical park, a visual was released depicting the main characters wearing yellow shirts with the garden’s alligator mascot. More than the collaboration with Atagawa, “Aho Girl” has also planned promotional campaigns with zukyu Line railroad company and the Atagawa Onsen Tourist Association with details on both to be found on the official website of the series.

For the sales event to be held from August 8 to August 3 on the event space located in the first floor of the Shinjuku Marui Annex, there will be variety of goods including an original Marui illustration product up for grabs with further details to be released at another time.

“Aho Girl” is a four-panel slice of life comedy shōnen manga series turned anime series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki. First serialized by Weekly Shōnen Magazine on November 28, 2012 before moving to Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in July 2015, the series currently has 9 volumes and the first episode of the anime adaptation was just released on July 4 with the second episode set to be released on July 11.

The story of the series tells of a high school girl named Yoshiko Hanabatake and her daily adventures with her friends Akuru Akutsu and Sayaka Sumino. While she may look like an average girl, the thing about Yoshiko is that she is both academically and socially dumb and this lack of knowledge and sense tends to bring her a lot of trouble which her friends have to drag her out of.

In other news, a special edition of original books along with a DVD bundle will be released for 3 consecutive months starting on October. On October 6, along with the release of the 10th volume of the series, there will an event ticket set for 2018 attached with it. Additional to this, the 11th and 12th volume of the series will be released on November 9 and December 15 respectively.
