The "Tournament of Power" of Dragon Ball Super Reveals Key Visual and New PV

On July 5, the latest series of the “Dragon Ball” franchise, “Dragon Ball Super” was released following the end of the “Dragon Ball Kai” series. Now as the series enters in the Tournament of Power division of the franchise, more details have been revealed on what to expect in the latest arc. As of Friday, a new key visual along with a new video revealing the 10 players including Frieza to participate in the Tournament and how the event would make its debut in the 97th episode to be aired on Sunday.

The general story for this series takes place following the adventures of Goku as the world enters into peace once more in his win against Majin Boo. But peace does not last long in this world as four years past and Goku grows in strength and abilities, a new threat arises and with it comes new adventures for Goku as he defends the earth from destructive deities and travels the universe.
For the entirety of the Dragon Ball franchise, after 18 years of different series, this is the first series to feature a new storyline.

The story for the latest arc tells of how Goku has been invited to a martial arts tournament titled, “Chikara no Taikai” a.k.a. “Tournament of Power”, being held by Zen-Oh. This is a tournament where the fiercest of warriors from eight out of twelve universes are gathered into a place called the “World of Void” a location said to have no time nor space. It is here that contestants fight one another with their Universe on the line, for should a team lose, their universe is destroyed.
