On April 4, 2017, the anime adaptation of the light novel series, “Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor” was first released and as of today, three days have passed since the release of the 12th and final episode of the anime. To commemorate the end of the series, Kurone Mishima, the original illustrator of the series posted a “Thank you” art piece on Twitter.
Featured in the post are the main heroin of the series Sistine, and the main heroin of the “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!” Aqua, a series created by Natsume Akatsuki, in which Mishima worked as a character designer.
In addition to the art piece, Mishima also attached a message to his post which was translated to:
“With my feelings of gratitude, for two TV anime based on the light novel series that I have worked as illustrator were aired for two consecutive cours. For about six months, I was able to
spend very happy and wonderful time! If you learn about the series with the anime, I would be very happy if you can try the novels as well! Thank you very much!”
The light novel series “Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor” was first released in 2014, written by Tarou Hitsuji and illustrated by Kurone Mishima with a total of 8 volumes now. It was in 2015 that the light novel was adapted into a manga series which currently has 5 volumes.

The story of the series takes focus on a part time teacher who goes by the name of Glenn. Yet even as an employee of a prestigious magic school he mainly conducts his class by writing self-study on the board and taking a nap. This in turn angers one his students, Sistine, who holds a great appreciation for magic and seeks to solve the mystery of what is known as the Sky Castle. She challenges him to a duel and he loses miserably. However, when an attack looms over the school, it is none other than Glenn who rises to the challenge to protect his students.
