With Kodama Naoko’s yuri manga series Netsuzou Trap getting an anime adaptation, a lot are still having mixed opinions over the series. Regardless of these, some are still excited for its airing on July 5.
The second trailer of the anime was released last week on the anime’s official Twitter account. It gives us the preview of “Blue Bud Blue”, the opening song to be performed by Haruka Tojo. It was mentioned that the Netsuzou Trap anime will have a length of ten minutes for each episode. According to Tojo, she took the feeling of Yuma’s heart and the true hidden feelings of Hotaru’s smile, combined together in her own way and applied it to the song. You can check out the 2nd trailer below:
To those who are not familiar with the manga series yet, Netsuzou Trap is about two childhood friends Hotaru and Yuma. When Yuma had a boyfriend, it was obvious and only natural that she would be nervous about it. Now because of this, she asks Hotaru and her boyfriend to be with her and her boyfriend on a sort of double date. Later on, both girls realize that they more feelings of each other rather than their significant others. Will they be able to hide their secret for long? Or will they be fallen to their own trap of betrayal and true love?
WORDS in STEREO will be writing the anime series script while Hisayoshi Hirasawa will be Chief Editor for the production at Creators in Pack. Character designs for this anime adaptation will be headed by Masaru Kawashima.
A special Drama CD will be released along with the Netsuzou Trap manga’s fifth volume on July 18 in Japan. The voice cast will be the same as the anime series and follows the original plot created by Kodama. The script is by WORDS in STEREO while Hisayoshi Hirasawa is the sound and chief director for this project. The drama CD will be produced under Cloud22.
If you are looking for a different kind of yuri series to watch this year, then Netsuzou Trap could be something to spend your time in.
