PV for Cleanliness Boy! Aoyama-kun Reveals More Cast and Ending Song

“Cleanliness Boy! Aoyama-kun” a.k.a. “Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun’s” official website releases a new promotional video as of Tuesday and in it are details on the additional cast for the series along with a preview of the anime’s opening theme, “White” by rock band Bentham, and the revelation of the ending theme and the performer.

The series which will be released on July 2 at 24:00 and will be airing on Tokyo MX followed by Yomiuri TV and BS11 is a creation of Taku Sakomoto and was first published in 2014 in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine but made a move to Weekly Young Jump in 2015.

The ending theme revealed in the video is titled “Taiyō ga Kureta Kisetsu” a.k.a. “The Season the Sun Gave Us” and will be performed by voice actors Ryotaro Okiayu, Tomokazu Seki, Sōichiro Hoshi, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and Hiroyuki Yoshino whom will be under the group name “Fujimi High School Soccer Team.”

In a previous article, the three main characters for the series were revealed and they were:

Ryotaro Okiayu as Aoyama-kun
Tomokazu Seki as Kaoru Zaizen
Anzu Haruno as Moka Gotō

The additional cast revealed comprise of the following:

Playing as the second-year student who lives his leisurely, Kazuma Sakai is Souchiro Hoshi, the voice behind the cheerful but gluttonous Son Goku of “Saiyuki.” Sakai is described as the #3 jersey wearer of the team and plays as a defender of the Fujimi High School’s soccer team and is common-sense guy with leadership qualities.

Daisuke Sakaguchi, the man who played as Souta Tamadate, the kind supporting character of “Guilty Crown”, is taking on the role of Jin Tsukamoto, a second year who spends a lot of time of on social media under the alias “Glasses Gentleman Z.” He wears the #4 Jersey for the soccer team and has the ability to juggle the ball with his butt, which he dubs as “butt juggling.”

Taichi Yoshioka, the gentle soul who loves to eat, especially doughnuts, is being voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino, who played as the second son Yajirou Shimogama of “(The) Eccentric Family.” He wears the #2 jersey and is a second-year student.

Taking on the role of third-year student Gaku Ishikawa is the voice behind the Shinigama William T. Spears of “Black Butler”, Noriaki Sugiyama. He wears the #6 jersey and the most noteworthy thing about him is that out of all of the team, he is the only one with a girlfriend and she is a part of Aoyama’s fan club.

Lastly is the voice behind Ryuuji Korekuni in “B-PORJECT”, Daisuke Kishio, playing as the narcissist hikaru Tada. Believing himself to be a hair above Aoyama, Kishio wears the #5 jersey and is the second third year known to be on the team.

The story of the series tells of a genius soccer player named Aoyama whose skills are so great that he is in Japan’s under sixteen soccer team. But as skilled as he is, there is one problem; he is obsessed with cleanliness! So obsessed he is, he refuses to do soccer moves that would result in him in getting dirty; even when doing a throw he would wear gloves.

In other news, it has been reported that in show of their support for the Kashima Antlers on July 8 at the Ajinomoto Stadium a collaboration video with the FC Tokyo football club featuring player Shouya Nakajima has been streaming on the anime’s website.
