“ ‘Death Stranding’ will Not Be Shown at E3” - Kojima Productions

Posted in: Anime News

The E3 conference is upon us. For those who are looking forward to Kojima Production’s upcoming game Death Stranding, it was announced on Wednesday that the first game for the studio will not be previewed at the event.

According to Hideo Kojima’s tweet, the reason for this is because the studio is still fully focused on the development and sincerely apologizes to the fans that are looking forward to the game’s sneak peak. To make it up for the fans, he uploaded the official of Death Stranding in his Twitter account. It will be exclusively available for the PlayStation 4 and so far there is no estimate date of release. The game will be developed using Decima Engine by Guerilla Games.

Kojima however will be in the event and will have an E3 Coliseum panel along with Jordan Vogt-Roberts who is currently working on a film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid. Vogt-Roberts is the director of the film Kong: Skull Island.

Death Stranding’s trailer was reported to be previewed in The Game Awards 2016. The picture below shows the game’s character Guillermo del Toro wearing a lapel pin which have the word “BRIDGES” and a map of the 48 U.S. states in a spider web.

About of the E3 Coliseum

The E3 Coliseum is a series of panels, previews, and presentations that span for two-days. This is organized by Geoff Kieghley (The Game Awards production) in partnership with the E3 committee. If you are attending this event and you want to catch Kojima and Vogt-Roberts’ panel, it will be on June 14 at 3:15-4:15pm PDT.

Hideo Kojima

Hideo Kojima worked for Konami Digital Entertainment for three decades and was former executive vice president. He left Konami in 2015. His notable video games that he worked are the following: Snatcher, the Metal Gear series, Policenauts, and the Zone of the Enders. He founded Kojima Productions in 2005 and Death Stranding will be the studios first game.

Although we wouldn’t be able to see more of this game, let’s hope that Death Stranding will be an epic game that is worth the wait!
