“We have a secret we can’t tell our boyfriends”.

The yuri fandom is excited over the premiere of the anime adaptation of Kodama Naoko’s popular yuri manga NTR: Netsuzou Trap. It’s time to mark your calendars on July 5! The announcement was posted in the anime series’ official website on Wednesday.

The manga was first published in 2014 under Comic Yuri Hime and still ongoing. It one of Japan’s popular Yuri manga series aside from Saburouta’s Citrus in which is published under the same magazine.

Aside from the announcement of the airing date, the opening theme song has also been unveiled as well. Haruka Tojo will be performing the opening theme titled “Blue Bud Blue”. According to her, she took the feeling of Yuma’s heart and the true hidden feelings of Hotaru’s smile and combined together in her own way and applied it to the song.

A special Drama CD will be released along with the release of the Netsuzou Trap manga’s fifth volume which is slated for release in Japan on July 18. The Drama CD’s voice cast is the same as the anime series which follows the original plot created by Kodama. The script is by WORDS in STEREO while Hisayoshi Hirasawa Is the sound and chief director for this project. The drama CD was produced under Cloud22.

To those who are not familiar with the manga series yet, Netsuzou Trap is about two childhood friends Hotaru and Yuma. When Yuma had a boyfriend, it was obvious and only natural that she would be nervous about it. Now because of this, she asks Hotaru and her boyfriend to be with her and her boyfriend on a sort of double date. Later on, both girls realize that they more feelings of each other rather than their significant others. Will they be able to hide their secret for long? Or will they be fallen to their own trap of betrayal and true love?

WORDS in STEREO will be writing the anime series script while Hisayoshi Hirasawa will be Chief Editor for the production at Creators in Pack. Character designs for this anime adaptation will be headed by Masaru Kawashima.

Although some still have mixed opinions over this upcoming anime adaptation, fans are hoping that the anime series will remain close to the original manga plot. With Citrus also have its own anime adaptation to be aired this year, we can definitely say that 2017 is a great year for the yuri fandom!
