New Visual and Cast with Debut Revelation for Symphogear AXZ Anime

A list of more cast is now up on the official website of the upcoming fourth series featuring females in battle armor, “Senki Zesshō Symphogear AXZ (pronounced “axis”), along with a new visual as well as confirmed date of release.

First premiering in January 2012, the anime ran for a total of 13 episodes before ending on AMrch 30, 2012. It was in 2013 and 2015 that the second and third seasons for the series were released and both also ran for a total of 13 episodes.

The staff for this upcoming fourth series consist of firstly director Katsumi Ono, who not only worked on the second and third series of the franchise but also directed the slice of life series “Hataraki Man. He is once more working at Sattelight and with him is Elemental Gardens, known not only to have composed the music for the entire anime franchise but also for the “Uta no Prince-sama” anime franchise as well.

Last but not least is Nana Mizuki to perform the opening theme song for the new series, having performed for the previous seasons as well.

Three new cast/characters have been revealed at this time and they comprise of firstly, the beautiful alchemist Saint-Germain played by Minako Kotobuki, the voice of Mitsuko Kongou in “A Certain Magical Index II.” Her character is described as one who aims for perfection yet at the same time dresses as a male.

Then there is Shouta Aoi, a voice actor who plays as Lin “Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor”, taking the role of the former lying swindler Cagliostro. Formerly a male alchemist, upon meeting Saint Germain, Cagliostro attained a “perfect” female body who is both eternally youthful and always honest.

Finally there is Prelati, who is being voiced by Rina Hidaka, the voice of Kanon Chinami is “Ultimate Otaku Teacher.” Her character is described as also being formerly male before meeting Saint Germain and attaining a perfect female body. Once a showy pleasure seeker, Prelati now works as a diligent researcher.

The new season will be making its debut on July 1 at 25:00 on Tokyo MX and will later be broadcasted on MBS and TV Aichi. Prior to this premiere however, on June 26, there will be a preview screening to take place at the Tokyo Cinemas Shinjuku.
