Get to know the crew working on the production of Ikemen Sengoku: Romances Across Time” a.k.a. “Ikemen Sengoku: Toki o Kakeru Koi’s” anime adaptation as an official website opened by mobile app developer CYBIRD reveals the staff, cast, story, and theme song information for the historical romance work.
In 2015 an IOs and android game titled “Ikemen Sengoku: Toki o Kakeru Koi” was created by CYBIRD, aimed towards a female audience as a historical romance game. Most recently a manga series was created on January 6 and is being illustrated by Mika Kajiyama.
Comparing the tales between the game and anime, the anime will be taking similarities to the game but with a twist. The anime will still be telling the tale of a young woman being dragged into the Warring States period. Her name is Sasuke and she is a graduate student; it is not confirmed that she is an aspiring fashion designer like in the game however.
The anime itself will be taking on a slapstick comedy theme by portraying 3D models of the characters as they go through their lives as the military commanders of the Warring States period in five minute episodes. The premiere is set to be on July 12 at 10:10 p.m. and will be broadcasting on Tokyo MX.
A new character will be making his appearance in the series and his name is Mouri Motonari. He will be voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi, the voice of America in “Hetalia – Axis Powers.” As for the rest of the characters, the cast of the game will be reprising their roles; and they are.
