Kemono Friends is a project that initially began in 2015, but over time it expanded from a game to a manga series then to an anime series. The franchise itself is a creation of manga Mine Yoshizaki and with the growth of the franchise to what it is now, it has gained a large number of fans which resulted in the recent creation of an official fan club.
Recognized as “Kimi Friends”, an interested party can join by taking part of the free registration campaign starting on July 2 until July 31. If they were to miss these dates, they can still apply starting August 1, but there will be monthly charge of 540 yen for those who do so.
Members of the fan club will be able to enjoy different perks in regards to the anime such as being able to get tickets to events the fastest or enjoy features such as limited items and exclusive fan club film viewing. For an added bonus to those who want to join, there will be a lottery for applicants on June 3 at exactly 12 o’clock and will end on June 10 at the same time.
Along with the revelation of the official fan club, it has also been revealed that there will be an event named “Kemono Friends LIVE” to be held on September 16 at Toyosu PIT in Koto Ward, Tokyo. A main feature of the event is the appearance of the cast.

Ticket sales start at 6,800 for regular seats, 9,800 for reserved seats, and can be purchased by up to two people.
For those who may not be familiar on what exactly the franchise is about, the first thing to know is that it features cute anthropomorphic girls as the theme. It tells the tale set in a large zoo known as Japari Park where a mysterious substance dubbed “Sandstar” has spread to the animals and turned them into anthropomorphized into girls known as “Friends.” The series follows their adventures with certain people.
