From manga to anime, now a visual along with staff has been released for the fantasy action series created by Yūki Tabata, “Black Clover.”
“Black Clover” was first published Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump on February 16, 2015 and currently has 11 volumes released. In the previous year, an Jump Festa anime special was made on the series in December by Xebec and it was at that time that plans for an anime adaptation was being reiterated by “Jump.” Now a confirmation has been made through an early look at next week’s issue of Shonen Jump and the series will be under the production of Studio Pierrot.
The story for this series tells of two orphan boys whom were abandoned together at a church. Their names are Asta and Yuno, and since they were young they were inseparable and promised one another that in the future they would compete each other for the position of Emperor Magus. But as time passed a shift began to form between the two as a glaring difference shined through.
On one hand, Yuno became a genius at magic and held amazing control and power. But on the other hand, Asta grew up without the ability to use magic at all and instead turned to physical training. But at the age of 15 when they are to receive their Grimoires, another change in the air is about to arrive.
It is not confirmed whether they will be reprising their roles for the series but the following were the cast for the main characters in the special.
The protagonist Asta was played Shun Horie, the voice behind Pierre in “The iDOLM@STER Side M.” Taking the role of his childhood friend and magic genius Yuno was the voice actor who played as Twelve in “Zankyou no Terror”, Soma Saitou.
For the confirmed staff, the director is Tatsuya Yoshihara, the director of “Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san.” Working on the composition is Kazeyuki Fudeyasu, the series composer for comedy series “Hetalia: The Beautiful World.” Itsuko Takeda, who worked on the character designs of “Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari” is the character designer of the series.
