5 Shows to Check Out for Summer 2017

It’s the summer season and that means there are higher chances to get more free time to catch to those anime you’ve been putting off as well as find some new anime to watch only end up binge watching for the next following weeks. With how much the anime is dishing out for this year with new series and new seasons for hig ranking anime, there is much to choose from. To make things a little easier, here are some suggestions to watch.

5.Ballroom e Youkoso

Who said that ballroom dancing was boring? Well with this new series, that statement will be taking a trip out of the window as the viewer enters into the world of competitive ballroom dancing alongside with protagonist Fujita, a middle schooler who had been drifting along day by day until he is saved from a group of bullies by a mysterious man who literally and figuratively drags him into the world of ballroom dancing. While reluctant at first, Fujita soon finds himself, with the help of some inspiration, taking a first step into a world that will completely change his perspective.

4.Centaur no Nayami

Enter a world where there is no humans as the major population but rather supernatural creatures. Angels, Nagas, Centaurs, whatever you could name, beings such as these are illustrated with human figures and their supernatural aspects defining them were the norm in this world, a completely different realm if you may call it. For this story, the focus goes to a young female center named Himeno and her daily life.

3. Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni

Many times, has the scenario of a regular person falling into another has been seen and many times they are either with nothing but the clothes on their back or are gifted with a special ability to survive. Then how about having an anime that takes a twist to this concept by having the main character have a piece of technology from the real world with him? Here is a character that is not only brought into a fantasy world but has a piece of technology that everyone in the real world has with him, a smartphone.

Touya Mochizuki student was just your regular high school student that went about his days, that is until he is accidentally struck by lightning by Kami himself. As an apology the deity offers him the option of being reborn into a fantasy realm along with one wish that he will grant. Touya takes the chance and makes the choice to bring his smartphone with him to his new adventure. Now he is on a journey in an ancient civilization with a powerful item at his call. (no pun intended)

2. Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in an apartment with all kinds of supernatural beings? This anime answers that question at the unfortunate expense of its main character, Inaba Yuushi. During his first year of middle school he had lost both of his parents and was placed in the care of his relatives. While he was being cared by them, he also could see that he was being a burden and opted to move out and live on his own at a dormitory once he graduated.

However bad luck strikes at him as the dormitory he intended to move into had burned to the ground. With little choice left being an orphaned student with little in terms of finances, Inaba takes chance with a nice old building that he found to have rent at a good price. There is a catch however, the house is a residence where both humans and supernatural beings live side by side.

1. Isekai Shokudou

Have a combination of western cuisine and fantasy with the tale of Isekai Shoukudou as it invites you into more than one realm of fantasy. In this story, there is a cafeteria called “Youshoku no Nekoya,” located in the shopping district near the office street. It has been running for 50 years and though it is called as a Western cuisine cafeteria it also has various other dishes available and have satisfied various salarymen from nearby offices.

What makes this place so special however is not what is on the inside but what is on the outside, to be specific, the door and the cat that is illustrated on it. Every weekday the cafeteria is a place for various regular people to enjoy good food. But when the weekend strikes the cafeteria shifts and with the ring of a bell the door becomes a gateway to completely different worlds where beings of different races from all over get a chance to taste what the cafeteria has to offer.
