A young man named Tatsumi was on his way home from school when he stumbles across a man collapsed near the lake. When he approaches to help him he discovers the man is in fact a merman who collapsed due to the high pollution in his home. Tatsumi graciously offers him a place at his bathtub and thus begins the two’s life together as roommates.

Do you like cats? How about cute little cat girls? Well say hello to the three adorable cat-girls of Nyanko Days! This is the story of a first-year high school student named Konagai Tomoko, she is a shy girl that owns three cats named Maa, Rou and Shii. Maa is a munchkin with a cheerful and live personality, Rou is a Russian Blue and is the smart responsible one of the group and Shii is a Singapura and she is described as the gentle crybaby of the group. More than a tale about small cute cat girls, it is a story of friendship between Tomoko and Shiratori Azumi.
2. Oshiete! Galko-Chan
When you’re a long time anime watcher certain characters tend to be predictable when they are shown a certain way. This is a short anime that not only takes first impressions and tosses it out the window, but shows how much the inside counts even in a comedy. The three main characters of this story, , Galko, Otako, and Ojou are the ones who embody this concept. On the outside they look like a party animal, otaku and rich girl, in truth they are more than what they seem and throughout the manga it not only digs a little deeper into the true personalities of each girl but also takes a comedic route by the frank conversations on everything possible by the girls.
1. Hetalia Axis Powers
Here comes a series that brings comedy, unique characters and a colorful plot that seems all over the place but at the same time brings in a little history lesson for the viewers. This is a series that answered the question: What is the nations were people? And took a creative turn from there. Taking place during the historical periods of World War I and World War II the series present the countries of the Axis Powers as the main characters for the beginning then moves on to tell the different and comedic tales of the different relationships between different countries such as Germany and Italy, France and England etc.
