Coming in July, A New Mini Anime for the "Deep Blue Song" Project

A new appreciation for the sea and the beauty of the creatures that lives in it comes in the form of a new video project titled “Deep Blue Song” where a new mini-animation and music video will be launched, stemming from the “iMarine Project” of the company Sanyo Bussan.

Announced on April 29 at the Nico Nico Chōkaigi event, this will be the fourth music video for the “iMarine Project”. Currently a list of staff and three cast members with character traits have already been revealed along with their character’s sketch art.

The story for this mini-animation is set in a world where people live in harmony with the creatures of the sea and a town named Deep Blue Town holds a giant space elevator in the middle and sea people living in the portion of the town located below water. iMarine, a delivery girl with her trusty vehicle Hoemaru is the main centre of this story and her adventures that come with the job.

Kyoutaka Suzuki, the assistant director of the "Yozakura Quartet Tsuki ni Naku " OAV, is acting as the director for this mini-animation. The man behind the character designs is Keisuke Goto, a character designer of the “Yatterman Nigth” series.

Taking charge of the story boards and acting as unit director is Keisuke Kojima, the Animation Director and Key Animator of the “Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission” film. Last but not least, taking charge of the color design is Satoshi Takezawa, having worked on the color design of “(The) Mystic Archives of Dantalian.”

For the cast, the main protagonist named iMarine will be played by Aya Uchida, the voice of Chikara Hidaka in “Sora o Miageru Shōjo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai.” iMarine is described for this project as a gentle personality who is always willing to help others and is a beloved idol of the town she resides in. She has the ability to understnad the language of fish, seeing as she is half-human and half-sea dweller.

Acting as the voice for the young half-human half-sea dweller who looks up to iMarine is Ayane Sakura, a voice actress who plays the role of Ochaco Uraraka in “Boku no Hero Academia.” Ūny is mainy described as a young girl who cooks lunch for iMarine every morning and is found to be constantly clinging to the delivery girl.

The third cast member and character to be introduced for the mini-animation is Maaya Uchida, the voice of Yuuki Yoshida in “Shokugeki no Souma”, as Wendy. Her character is described to be an ordinary girl with a stand offish attitude and an air of a rich girl, seeing as she is the daughter of the mayor and is constantly surrounded by security detail. Her noted relation with iMarine is that while she may complain about her flighty personality, Wendy constantly follows her around.

While both the mini-animation and the music video will be following the same plot, the mini-animation is set to premier in July while the music video will be released in August.
