U.S. English Release for ‘Fate/Grand Order’ Slated for This Summer!

Masters, prepare your servants and prepare for the Holy Grail War (well, not really).

It was announced last April by Aniplex of America that a English version of Type-Moon’s popular Japanese mobile game Fate/Grand Order is slated to be released this Summer. Fate fans get hyped because all of the original as well as new characters in the in franchise will be featured in this epic RPG!

Fate/Grand Order was first launched in Japan in 2015 and since then, the game has been downloaded over 8 million times. It is so far one of the hottest and the most popular smartphone game that was ever released. Aniplex have finally made a decision to make this US release possible after finding out that many of the users that were registering the Japanese server are actually from overseas. With this upcoming release, players are expected to experience the same hype as the Japanese version as well as complete translated dialogue and menu.

For those who are not familiar about the game, the setting of Fate/Grand Order takes place in the year 2015 which is the final era for sorcery to exist. You play the role as a Master and you call upon different servants and train to complete missions and unlock different scanarios/stories as you go along. The characters that are featured in the character are those from the entire Fate franchise and the some original ones.

The popularity of this smartphone game has paved way for an anime television film adaptation. Fate/Grand Order: First Order premiered on New Year’s Eve 2016 produced by animation studio Lay-duce and is directed by Hitoshi Namba. The anime film also features an all-star seiyuu cast like Ayako Kawasumi, Rie Takahashi, and Nobunaga Shimazaki. Aniplex of America has licensed the film for the North America region.

To add up the hype of the upcoming game, a game trailer was released. The visual texts are in English but the voice is in Japanese. English subtitles are also provided in the narration. Check out the trailer below:

If you are a die-hard Type-Moon fan, then this game something worth installing in your smartphone. Ani.Me will be releasing a feature on some of the basics of the Fate/Grand Order game very soon.
