New Cast and Musicians Revealed for Mahōjin Guru Guru

Mahōjin Guru Guru a.k.a “Magical Circle Guru Guru”, the new fantasy comedy coming this summer has revealed new members for the production. Though there is no confirmed date for the premier as of yet, it has been confirmed that each episode will be 30-minutes long and will be having a late-night time slot on TV Tokyo and other networks.

The new series, which is based off on a the manga of the same name, tells of the meeting between characters Nike and Kukuri in Jimina Village. The overall tale of the manga series on the other hand tells of a much wider story. For 300 years a fearsome demon lord named Giri was locked away from the world. Now he is free and alongside his monster minions he sets out to wreak havoc on the world.

Believing that legendary hero may be their only hope in defeating the great villain, King Uruga XIII announces throughout his kingdom that a competition will be held to chose this true hero. In comes Nike, at the behest of his hero-wannabe parents as he sets out for the castle and along the way meets magic-learning Kukuri. Together they travel the world fighting monsters and gaining knowledge in their journey.

The two new cast members that will be in the new series are Yukiyo Fujii and Takahiro Sakurai. Fujii, who is known to play the roles of Latifah Fullanza in “Amagi Brilliant Park” and Regnas in “Lord Marksman and Vanadis” will be playing as Toma. For Sakurai, having played as Kyouya Sata in “Wolf Girl & Black Prince” and Griamor in “(The) Seven Deadly Sins” he will be playing as Gipple.

For the themes of the series, the opening theme will be performed by ORESAMA, who also performed the opening theme for the fantasy series “Alice and Zouroku.” Performing the ending theme is TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND, the performer of the “Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!” ending theme, along with Bonjour SUZUKI, the performer of the “Space Patrol Luluco” ending theme.

On another note there will be an advanced screening of the series’ first two episodes on June 1 at the Tokyo’s Marunouchi Piccadilly Theater where the main cast will also be making their appearance.
