Fans of the musical series “Starmyu”, mark your calendars, as coming this October, you will get a chance to see the people behind the series characters with a live event and special revelations for the first BD/DVD cover for the new season.
For those that may not know, “Star-myu” a.k.a.“High School Star Musical” is a slice of life music series that was launched on October 5, 2015. The series is set in a prestigious school known for its music department, Ayanagi Academy. The protagonists of this series consist of five male students, Yuta Hoshitani, Toru Nayuki, Kaito Tsukigami, Kakeru Tengenji, and Shu Kuga.
They aspire to become a part of the highly sought Star Frame Class, a class which is taught by the most talented students of the musical department, the Kao Council. By sheer luck they were spotted by a member of the council named Itsuki Otori and from there it is a struggle to prove themselves in the top tier class.
The main cast of the series consists of Natsuki Hanae, the voice of Masamune Makabe in “Masumune-kun’s Revenge”, playing as the bright and cheerful Yuta Hoshitani. Playing as the Toru Nayuki is Kenshou Ono, who plays as Shikadai Nara in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.”
The voice of Shinji Watari in the second season of “Haikyuu!!”, Arthur Lounsbery, is cast as the asipring actor Kaito Tsukigami. The rumored playboy Kakeru Tengenji is played by the voice behind Otabek Altin in “Yuri!!! On Ice.” Last but not least, playing as the quiet and aloof Shu Kuga is Tomoaki Maeno, who plays as Tsurani Toomi in “Kabukibu!”
The live event set to occur on October 8 is expected to have the mentioned main cast, as well as appearances from other cast including Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yuuma Uchida, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Kenn, and several more. But while the expected guest list is huge, there is no confirmed venue for the event and appearance as subject to change in the future.
Ticket sales will be starting soon but with the release of the new DVD/BD, there will be voucher for early tickets with it.
