The hype is real. Very real.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will be releasing a new IDOLM@STER game in Japan this year titled The IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days. The game’s official Twitter account announced on Saturday that the pre-registrations for the upcoming game reached 390,000 pre-registrations. Now that is a lot!

Announcement of the pre-registrations began on April 30. Over 100,000 pre-registrations were recorded on the first day then passed the 200,000 mark on the next day, and more than 300,000 on the third day. The people who have pre-registered accounts will receive some in-game items and rewards upon the game’s release.

As a reward for reaching 100.000 and 200.000 pre-registration, Bandai Namco released two music videos featuring the songs “Suteki na Kiseki” (Lovely Miracle) and “Precious Grain”. You can check out the two music videos below.

Although there is no specific date yet of release, it will be released at any time this year. The new game will be set on a 765 Pro live theater and will take place in rooms like the waiting room, greenroom, and the theater’s office. One of the characters to be featured in this new game is Misaki Aoba, a theater clerk character. Unlike the previous IDOLM@STER smartphone games released, players can communicate with the characters even more by just a simple touch of the screen. The solo and unit concerts will also feature rhythm games. If you are looking for a good rhythm game to play with on your smartphone or mobile device, then this game is definitely for you!

Just to give you a little background about the franchise, the original THE IDOLM@STER game was officially launched in Japan in February 2013 which is a spin-office of the game series. Fans of the franchise love the game as it features the original series’ 765 Pro characters with an additional 37 new characters to obtain through character rolling or through special game events. The objective of the game is quite simple: you are the manger of an idol production and it’s your job to select the best girls and raise them as you complete the game’s various songs and mission requirements.

For those looking for a different kind of rhythm game to play that is unique from all the others out there, then THE IDOLM@STER games are for you. They are free to download on both Android and iOS devices.
