Kengo Kawanishi, the voice actor of Mikazuki Angus of Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans hints at the end of the final live stream of the anime’s Ano Hito to Tekkandan special on Saturday that there will be an movie version of the anime soon. He signed in the live stream saying: “See you in the movie version!”

Although Kawanishi has said this in the live steam, there seemed to be no hints from the production staff yet whether an anime movie version is green-lit or not. Regardless of this, fans of the series are looking forward to any further announcements after the said live stream announcement.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is the recent anime under the ever popular Gundam franchise. Known for its Gunpla line of toys, Gundam also branched out into other forms of Japanese media like anime and manga. Iron-Blooded Orphans premiered on October 2015 aired not only in Japan but also streamed internationally via Hulu, Gundam.info, Daisuki, Funimation, and Crunchyroll. The show was also aired in Toonami. The anime lasted for a two seasons with the final episode aired last month.

Set 300 years after the great “Calamity War”, the planet Mars is finally been inhabited successfully by humans. The humans living in this planet however wanted freedom from the government of earth regardless if they were giving technological advances to help them in their everyday life.

A Martian nobleman named Kudelia Aina Bernstein employs Chryse Guard Security (CGS), a civilian security company to bring her to the planet Earth in order to negotiate with its government on the independence of the Chryse nation. CGS however was under attack by Gjallarhorn, the Earth’s Military organization as a way to stop the Martian independence movement.

The anime ended with a total of fifty episodes. Although the show has already concluded, its manga of the same name written by Kazuma Isobe is still ongoing since October 2015. Another manga titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Steel Moon written by Hajime Kamoshida was launched in June 2016 with its chapters still ongoing until present.

It seems that there’s still more to come under this awesome Gundam series and the fanbase is looking forward for more announcements to come in the near future. If you still haven’t watched this, we highly recommend that you should especially if you collect Gunpla!
