You’ve seen scenes of people going out for drinks as a mode of celebrating something or simply spending time with a certain group of people. Basically the drinking scene in anime is mostly a side scene for either transition or comedy. But as of Sunday, a new type of anime is coming to the screen and it brings in the enjoyment of alcohol through the form of cocktails and it is actually a link between a husband and wife.

To ellaborate, at the “Creators in Pack Talk Show: 2017 Haru no Shinsaku Anime Happyōkai” (Creators in Pack Talk Show: 2017 Spring New Work Anime Presentation) stage event at the Machi Asobi vol. 18 held on Sunday, the animation studio known as Creaotrs in Pack revealed that they would be animating the manga series titled “Osake wa Fūfu ni Natte kara” by Crystal na Yosuke.

The series was first published in April 2015 on Shogakukan’s free manga website Yawaraka Spirits. There are currently five volumes published and on May 12 there will be a 6th volume to be published.

The story of “Osake wa Fūfu ni Natte kara” tells of Chisato Mizusawa, a 28-year-old senior public relations company staff member who goes through her days enjoying her husband’s, Sora’s, cocktails. This tale is described as a “slightly sweet tipsy couple comedy” manga series.
