See Another Side to the "Shadow" People in "Detective Conan" Spin-off

You know those shadowy figures in shounen manga that depict the villain of the story? Many times we see them as mnious figures of intimidation that presented the image of the darkness within being visible to the viewer/reader. This time however, we see the shadow figure not out who his next vixtim will be or plotting a nefarious crime, rather we see what the downsides there in being the criminal of a shounen series, and not in just losing to the hero.

Coming on May 25 in Japan in the July issue of Shogakukan’s Shōnen Sunday Super manga magazine, is Detective Conan – Hannin no Hanzawa-san a.k.a. “Case Closed – Mr. Hanzawa the Culprit” a pin-off manga to the long running mystery series, “Detective Conan” a.k.a. “Case Closed.”

“Detective Conan” is a series that has been running for decades now with over 900 episodes, the anim has been running since 1996 and tells the adventueres of the the genius teen detective turned child Kudo Shinichi as Conan Edogawa.

Created by Mayuko Kanba, the upcoming spin-off tells the tale of a “shadow person” from the “Detective Conan” series and their humurous everyday struggles when they are no planning to commit a crime.
