“Nintama Rantarou” to Celebrate 25th Anniversary with Cultural Festival on April 29th to May 7th

Fans of 90’s anime, get ready for a hit of nostalgia, because from April 29th to May 7th, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, the anime featuring the comedic adventures of aspiring ninjas, “Nintama Rantarou”, a cultural festival will be held at the East Yard 5th floor “Space 634” in Tokyo Solamachi. Recognized as the “Ninjutsugakuen Cultural Festival!”, the event starts at 10:00 until 18:00 depending unless there is a special feature to occur.

The rates for admission go for 500 yen for adults while children in middle school and below have a free admission. But should a buyer wish to purchase a ticket and be able to get limited goods with it, the price is 2000 with a limit of 300 people allowed to purchase this ticket.

For the event, not only will a visitor be able to enjoy a number of attractions and games, but they will have a chance to see the staff and cast behind the anime. To those interested in knowing about the writer, there will be an introduction corner to check out. For those who may be interested in display works, Amigo Nobuya’s ninja collection can be found.

As a special feature, visitors can also have a chance to see materials including animation settings, storyboards, and cell images being released for the first time.

Want to take a break from the exhibitions? The festival has also included what is called the “Ninjutsu Gakuen Beginner Reception” and the “Ninjutsu Gakuen Practice Test” for visitors to enjoy. At the beginner reception, visitors who enter an entrance voucher can have a commemorative photo taken at a photo spot. Similar to this is the “Committee’s cultural festival simulation shop” where a photos spot using drawn illustrations is set up.

On the other hand at the practice test, visitors can have a chance of winning a memorial sticker should they answer the test. There are also other attractions that can be enjoyed by visitors, such as the can shooting game “Senri no Rushing Dojo” for only 500 yen.

At one point of the event though is a special feature; as fans of the show will have a chance to meet Rantaro, Kirimaru, Shinbe, who will be visiting the venue for a meet and greet with a photo session to add to the mix.

On the final day of the event, there will be a talk show wherein the cast members, Minami Takayama the voice behind Rantaro, Mari Tanaka the voice who plays as Mayor Tanaka, Ryuusai Sadato, the voice of Shinbei will be making their attendance. Participation tickets for this segment are first-come first-serve with a tax of 300 yen or more.
