As of Monday details on the main staff and cast along with a new teaser visual has been released for Yutaka Yamamoto’s original anime project “Hakubo” a.k.a “Twilight” on the Campfire crowdfunding page.

Set to be released in 2018, the story of the film tells of the youths of the Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture living their lives in the aftermath of the Tohoku earthquake which occurred on March 11, 2011.

Credited for this original work as well as for the script, direction and sound direction, is Yamamoto himself. According to previous reports, the film is to be the last of his self-described “Tōhoku trilogy” and the initial concept of the project was conceived when he was in college.

For the rest of the staff, Sunao Chikaoka, recognized for having done the character designs for the series, “Wake up, Girls!” and “Kyo no Gononi” will be working on the character designs for the project. Fuyuto Muraguchi, having done work on finishing animation is taking charge of the film’s colour design. Acting as sound director is You Yamada, who has previously worked on the series “Black Bullet” and “Made in Abyss.”

Composing the music for the film is the composer of the “Fractale” series music, Souhei Kano. For the overall animation of the production, Twilight Studio will be taking charge.

At this time, while the cast has been chosen, there is no details yet on which characters they will be playing. So far the mentioned cast includes, the voice of Mikan Yuuki in “To Love-Ru” Kana Hanazawa, Kaori Fukuhara, the voice behind Tsukasa Hiiragi in “Lucky Star” and Sumi Shimamoto, the voice of Nausicaa in the film “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”.

Currently the campaign which was set in funding the production (though Yamamato stated that he would continue even without the goal being met) has earned 7,693,515 yen (about US$69,402) and will be ending on April 29.
