After 7 Years, ‘Pokemon’ Fan Maxes Out Pokewalker

Posted in: Anime News

On Tuesday, a Twitter user and Pokemon player @suica_pokeca shared images of their max out step tracker of the Pokewalker. Below shows their tweet as well as the two images that were shared:

It took the user seven years to completely max out the said device. Although there’s no confirmation to whether @suica_pokeca really walked or just shook the device multiple times, the pictures show that the Pokewalker recorded a total of 9,999,999 steps at a total of 65, 583 of activity. The device showed a message of “Congrats” as the player earned around 356,170 watts (the Pokemon currency).

In Japanese, the word written is “Omedetou!” or おめてとう。The word means congratulations and can be used in all kinds of situations, such as congratulations for a job well done, congratulations on a birthday, or congratulations for a marriage.

The Pokewalker device was released during the time of the Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver game hype.
