"Free!" Returns with Two Compilation Films and An Anime Theatrical Project

The boys of the popular swimming anime “Free!” and the eye candy of multiple fans are back for this year with not one but two compilation films as well as an all-new theatrical anime project. Announced on Sunday at an event for the “High Speed! -Free! Starting Days-“ anime film located in Tokyo, the two films are entitled Free! Timeless Medley Kizuna (Bonds) and Free! Timeless Medley Yakusoku (Promise) and both contain new footage.

For the first film, which is also simple known as “Kizuna”, it will be opening on April 22 and features on the members of the Iwatobi Swim Club, which is comprised of Haruka Nanase, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki and Rei Ryugazaki. The second film which holds the alternate name of “Yakusoku” will be opening on July 1 and will be featuring the members of the opposing swim team members Rin and Sousuke.

In regards to the theatrical anime project, it has been reported that it is set to be released in the fall in theatres in Japan and is the sequel to “Free! Timeless Medley”
