End of an Era – Sony to Soon Halt Shipments and Production of PlayStation 3 Console in Japan

Do you own a PlayStation 3? Since its first release in 2006, it has been one of Sony’s successful and best-selling consoles the company has ever produced giving gamers a wide array of games to play.

In its official product page, Sony has announced that the current standard slim model for its Playstation 3 console will be ending shipments soon in Japan. With that said, it’s expected that PS3-game related downloads and support might no longer be available soon. The current PS3 slim model was released in Japan in 2014 and replacing its former model that was produced and released in 2013.

With the PlayStation 4 now in its great hype, we can never forget the multiple games that PS3 has given us. Below is a video of some 25 awesome PlayStation 3 games worth playing. Before everything comes to a halt, let us go back to memory lane and remember the epic games that we have played in this epic console. Long live the PlayStation 3!
