Blu-Ray Release for ‘A Silent Voice’ Anime Film to Include Two New Animated Videos

Just to give you guys a head’s up, the Blu-ray disc release for the anime film A Silent Voice is slated on May 17. The film is based from the manga of the same name created by Yoshitoki Oima.

As a special treat for those who will buy this limited first edition of the Blu-ray, two new animation videos of the songs “Ai wo Shi no wa” (Loving is) and “speed of youth” are included in this release. Each song is performed respectively by AIKO and kensuke ushio.

“Ai wo Shite no wa” is the film’s theme song while the “speed of youth” is an in-film track. The animated videos are produced by Kyoto Animation and directed by Naoko Yamada (who also directed the anime film). Yamada is also responsible for the videos’ technical direction and storyboard.
