"Sound! Euphorium" Gains a Second Film

The music centred light novel series featuring a school band “Hibike! Euphonium” has now gained a second film. Announced on Sunday on the official website of Kyoto Animation’s anime adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s Hibike! Euphonium: Kitauji Kōkō Suisōgaku-Bu e Yōkoso novel the film is set to be released in the fall season.

Telling the tale of the School Concert Band of Kitauji High and their struggle to reach national competitions as they go through the mentoring of a strict advisor, the fights for a solo, the ups and downs as club members and students and overall the question on whether to remain with the club or to resign and focus on their studies.

At this time the website has only released an accompanying special announcement video where it was shown that the film will be looking back or “flash back” to the second series as the first film did with the first series. Other than this there has been no other details released in relation to the film.
