‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Manga Franchise Hits A Milestone, Printed Over 22 Million Copies!

Tokyo Ghoul is manga series created by Sui Ishida in 2011 to 2014. The manga paved way to a manga sequel titled Tokyo Ghoul:re as well an anime adaptation, smartphone game, and a stage play.

A recent announcement on the 15th issue of Weekly Shounen Young Jump magazine on Thursday revealed that both Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re have printed a total of 22 million copies in print. With that said, this is considered as a big milestone for the franchise.
Viz Media has officially licensed the sequel manga and there are plans of releases this fall. The 12th volume of the Tokyo Ghoul manga is slated to release the West on April 18.
