Enjoy the fantastical tale that is the anime film “Your Name” of Makoto Shinkai once more with screenings hosted by Funimation along with advanced tickets that can be purchased as of Friday on the Funimation Films website where a theatre locator and noted on more locations to be added can be found as well. For the screenings, both the Japanese with English subtitles and the English Dub versions of the film shall be featured on over 200 screens in North America.
Currently it has been reported that Funimation shall be releasing the film on April 7 in the United States and Canada. The tale of two high school students, Mitsuhi and Taki taking a literal step in the other’s shoes continues to grow in popularity as the film is slated to open in over 92 countries.
For the voices that shall be playing the different characters of the fantasy film, a number of them are recognized for their variety of work. Playing as the male protagonist and city boy Taki Tachibana is the voice of Moritaka Mashiro in “Bakuman” and Satoshi Osugi in “Eden of the East”, Michael Sinterniklaas.
Stephanie Sheh, recognized for her roles as Miwako Teshigawara in “Honey and Clover” and Greta in “A Little Snow Fairy Sugar” will be playing as the female protagonist, country girl and a member of a shrine owning family, Mitsuha Miyamizu.
Acting as the voice behind Mitsuha’s male best friend Katsuhiko Teshigawara is Kyle Hebert, known to have voice the ninja Atomic Samurai in “One Punch Man” and exorcist Ryuji Suguro in “Blue Exorcist.” Known for her role as Yuki-Onna in the series “Nura: Rise of the Youkai Clan” and Patema in the film “Patema Inverted”
To those who hold care to the music of the film it is to be noted that the music of the film shall also be gaining an English Dub version and the one to have created them is the commercially successful, Japanese rock band, RADWIMPS.
