Though today brought the decommissioning of Odaiba’s life-sized statue of RX-78-2 statue from Mobile Suit Gundam, to the great disappointment of many fans, news has been made of another statue up in production.
Currently, not much details have been released over the new statue other than that the statue would be available for public viewing this year. However, the news did in fact come from the official Gundam Fan Club smart phone app where it has been announced that the upcoming life sized status in production is to be a model from Mobile Suite Gundam Unicorn.
Along with this, the app also featured an exclusive interview with the series director himself, Fukui Harutoshi, who other than working with the Mobile Gundam franchise, has also done the screenplay for the film “Harlock: Space Pirate” and the series composition for the film Uchū Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-tachi.
