‘NEET Meshi!’ – A New Manga Series about the Diet Habits of A NEET

Posted in: Anime News

A NEET (No Education, Employment, and Training) is usually being tagged as a lazy person who just stays in the house all day eating ready-to-eat meals and high-calorie snack foods. Now just because you don’t have a job and you don’t have enough finances for yourself, doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy good food!

If you’re looking for a good manga to read this year, then NEET Meshi! (NEET Food!) is the probably one of them.

Just to give you info about the manga, the story is about a young NEET girl who tries to cook delicious food in the comforts of her family’s home. The manga is created by Mameko Mamekichi, who admitted in his blog that the main character of the manga is his veiled alter ego.
Originally ran in Manga Action magazine, the manga is now available in book form and bonus gifts are given away to those who buy the book in the following bookstores: Shosen, Hōrindō, Comirano!, Kikuya, Toranoana, Gamers, Melon Books and Comic Zin.

Although there is no word yet for this manga to have an official English translation, let’s hope it does very soon. We’re pretty sure you can sometimes relate to the NEET life.
