It was revealed on Monday in the 14th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump that My Hero Academia author Koei Horikoshi suffered with a sudden illness which caused the recent chapter not published. According to the magazine’s editorial staff, the manga will return on the 15th issue which is slated to be released on March 13.
My Hero Academia was first launched in the Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. The manga’s 12th volume was released on February 3 in Japan. The manga series is so popular that it paved way for an anime adaptation. The first episode of the second season is set to air in Japan on March 25.
Volumes 13 and 14 of the manga will be released on April 4 and June 2 respectively. Although his illness has not been mentioned, let’s hope Horikoshi will have a speedy recovery for him to work on this epic series again.
In Japanese, the title of M.H.A. follows the lines of several similar shows, and is called Boku No Hero Academia. “Boku no” means “My” in the Japanese language.
