One Man Production Horror Anime Film Set for 2018

A one man production to be entitled “Aragne no Mushikago” a.ka. “Aragne Insect Cage” is set to be released in the following year, 2018. Set in an apartment where spirits are known to roam free, the film tells the story of 18-year-old college student Rin. Upon moving into the area she soon finds herself involved with the strange events of the building and begins to uncover the truth behind it. Based on an original concept and script, the film stems from the mind of Saku Sakamoto.

Acting as the writer, director, animator and scorer of his film, Sakamoto works with film director and author Osamu Fukutani, the supervisor of the production. For the cast, there is no chosen voice to play as the protagonist Rin as of yet but for other members of the cast, their voice actors have already been chosen.

Actress Ayana Shiramoto, recognized for her roles in the works, “My Little Nightmare” and “Second to Last Love” will be playing as the mysterious Nasuha. Playing as the folklore researcher Tokiyo is the voice behind character Chitaro Ariga in “Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II” Yousuke Itou. Fukujurou Katayama, recognized to have voiced the character Yutaka “Peko” Hoshino in the series “Ping Pong” shall be taking on the role of the shaman Saion. Last but not least, playing as the man with secrets Mikaya is Shougo Batori, the voice of Kazuma Shouji in the series “Cardfight! Vanguard G Next”
